Missoula has so much to offer for families with young children! Whether you are a parent looking for resources, an early childhood professional wanting to know about referral options, or a community leader wanting to know about early childhood initiatives, there is something for you. All events can be accessed by registering for Week of the Young Child (WOYC).

Learn more about what programs have to offer at your convenience throughout the week. The video sessions open on Monday morning, but can be accessed whenever is convenient for you.

Throughout week

Drop in to talk with representatives from different community organizations during their 30 minute Virtual Resource Fair sessions. Register for the Week of the Young Child to access, and click the green track on the agenda to find them more easily!

LINKING SYSTEMS OF CARE: TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE

Monday the 12th from 11 AM- 12 PM

Linking Systems of Care (LSOC) Montana has created a comprehensive policy and practice template designed to catalyze trauma-informed care among Montana organizations and programs. LSOC team members will share data findings from trauma and victimization screening and strategies to help organizations become increasingly trauma informed.

NATIONAL PARENT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE LAUNCH

Tuesday the 13th from 12-1 PM

In fall, 2021, Zero to Five Missoula County is launching the first cohort in our area of the National Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI). This exciting new initiative will help parents gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to advocate ofr thier children--and all children. Equity-centered and evidence-based, PLTI has the potential to be a game changerfor parents in decision making in our community. Come learn more, and find ourt how yo can be involved!

EXPLORING THE KINDERGARTEN ENTRY ASSESSMENT

Thursday the 15th from 12-1 PM

Zero to Five's Kindergarten Entry Assessment (KEA) project offers our entire community a new way to understand how the children are doing as they enter school -- and why. 
It's not an entrance exam for kindergarten -- it's a critical window on our system of support for children and families. 
Join us to learn about the assessment process and the findings of our first two years!
